Supported Server Platforms?
Microsoft Server 2000, Server 2003 and Server 2008. However aspen does not recommend Small Business versions to due to increased server processor Loads. which decreases Mas performance.
Supported Workstations?
Microsoft Windows XP sp2 and Windows Vista. All Version must be professional or Business and not Home.
How can I do a one-sided entry in General Ledger?
Version 3.7x:
- Open Library Master / Security / User Maintenance.
- Enter the user ID for the person making the one-sided entry, and then press ENTER.
- Verify that the Supervisor Rights option is enabled.
- Click 'Accept' and close the 'User Maintenance' window.
Version 4.x:
- Open Library Master / Main / Role Maintenance.
- Select applicable role from the lookup.
- Click the 'Security Events' tab.
- Select General Ledger, and select the 'Allow Out-of-Balance Journal Entries' check box. Click 'Accept'.
- Open Library Master / Main / User Maintenance.
- Select applicable user ID from the lookup, and click the 'Maintenance' tab.
- Select the role used in the previous steps, and click 'Accept'.
Perform the following steps to enter a one-sided journal entry:
- Open General Ledger / Main / General Journal Entry.
- Enter the source journal code and source journal number.
- Enter the posting date, leaving the 'Reversing Date' field blank.
- Enter a journal comment, if necessary.
- Click the 'Lines' tab. At the 'Journal Comment' field, press ENTER, or click the '2. Lines' tab.
- Enter as many individual lines as needed using the same steps as when entering any other journal entry.
- Click the 'Accept' button.
- Click the 'One' button at the prompt, "This journal is out of balance. This entry must balance in order to post to General Ledger"
- Print and update the general journal.
How do I download and install service packs, updates and program fixes?

Download and install the latest service pack and service update from Sage Software Online. Follow the installation instructions.
- Service packs include all previous program fixes for the version.
- Service updates include all program fixes since the last service pack.
- Master Developer program fixes are not included in service packs or updates.
Sage MAS 90 and 200 3.xx through 4.05
Note: Be sure to verify that the version that the fix
applies to matches the actual Sage MAS 90 or 200 version. Installing a
Program Fix to the wrong version can cause errors or data corruption. The
version affected is listed in the document's header section.

Note: The Program Fix Collection does not include program fixes specific to Sage MAS 200 - SQL Server Edition or Master Devoloper utilities. Certain other fixes that may adversly affect installations where they are not needed are also excluded (for example: Custom Office) - If a specific program fix is selected, print the document for future reference and instructions.
- Click the link to the self-executing zip file.
- When prompted, select the option to save the file or to to run it.
- If the option to run the program is selected, be sure to back up the ..\MAS90\ folder or rename the file(s) to be replaced before proceeding. This is not necessary if the files are being unzipped to a location other than ..\Mas90.
- If the .exe file is being saved, select the location to download the file.
- Back up the ..\Mas90\ folder or rename files that will be replaced
by program fix files.
Note: The affected files are listed in the document. - In Windows Explorer, locate and open the downloaded file.
- A dialog box displays. Click 'Ok' after reading the message.
- When prompted for a path, enter path to the ..\Mas90\ directory on
the server and click the 'Unzip' button.
Note: The files can also be unzipped to a different folder and manually copied to the correct locations, if desired. Be sure to read any specific instructions in the Program Fix document, especially if the fix is for Sage MAS 200 or Sage MAS 200 - SQL Server Edition.
